Three posts in one day? Sets a new record for myself, I better mark this day on my calendar http://www.linuxnewbie.org/ubb/smile.gif Anyway, I was wondering if any of y'all had a chance to use RedHat 7. I'm partial to 6.2, because its had some time to mature and take care of some bugs. I'd like to hear any feedback from 7 users about the stability and security of the new distro. Thanks again.

Well if you look at linuxnewbie news archives, you will see how many bugs redhat 7.0 has.. which leads to only 1 alternative.. MANDRAKE 7.2 ! It comes with KDE 2.0 .. eat that redhat

once you download the errata for the glibc bug fixes RedHat 7 works great, Xfree 4.0.1, you can goto KDE's website and download the RH7 packages and it will be distro that Redhat should of shipped. I run it and it is fine. if your running a server though, stick with 6.2

I was using 6.2 now 7.0.

Started out with downloading all the updates and bugfixes and adding KDE2. It's good as a desktop, I can not comment on the server side since I use it for workstation only. W A Y better than windows though and V E R Y stable on 2.2.16-22 with updates installed.
