Hmm...it seems I can't fsck. No matter how hard I try, I can't fsck anything. It's really annoying--I hear that fsck is really cool and a great way to kill time, but I can't seem to fsck. Ever. Can anyone help?

DMR 11-11-2001, 02:33 AM <scolding mother voice> Young man, your father had that talk with you a long time ago. You know very well that fscking is a pleasurable event which has nothing to do with Penguins whatsoever. Now clean up this mess and move it to General: Off-Topic right now, or you'll get no dessert! </scolding mother voice> :D camelrider 11-11-2001, 06:36 PM AFIK you can't run fsck on a mounted partition. You can either umount a partition and run fsck on it or, if you want you can run "shutdown -F" and it will fsck all partitions before mounting them upon reboot. justlinux.com
