Is it possible to boot linux from a floppy disk. I would like to install linux on my hard drive but not lose my MBR. If it is possible to load linux on my hard drive and then have a boot floppy point to the installed linux files that would be great. I really don't want to cause any problems on my windows OS.

Thanks for the help,

sure you can... in the setup, it'll probably ask you if you want to install lilo (and possibly where) as well as make a boot disk. Say no and have it make the boot disk, and use that whenever you need to boot into linux... http://www.linuxnewbie.org/ubb/biggrin.gif
