Hi,
I've been trying to load RedHat 6.2 on my Toshiba 425 CDS laptop, and I keep getting an Anaconda Python error while the packages are installing. The RedHat site lists this as a problem with "upgrades" but I'm not doing an upgrade (the machine previously had Win 95), so their "fix" doesn't do me any good.

Anyone know of any way around this problem? If not, anyone want to recommend another distro I could try? I'm only using RH6.2 because I had the CD after installing it on my desktop. As long as I can get emacs and a compiler on this darned thing, I'll be happy....

Thanks,
SataiCam

is this problem while trying to install anaconda, or with the install program which uses anaconda?

I don't use Linux because I hate Windows (which I do) I use Linux because I like it.

Well, since I never selected anaconda to be installed from the packages...I really can't tell you.....
But it looks like I might not have to worry because now the whole install is botching up with a Signal 7 error, which (according to the RedHat Fun Page) leads me to believe I've got a hardware error....grrrr
