cdrom help

woooohoooo im on the internet! now i need to get the cdrom to work. my primary cdrom is a cdrw. it has had ATAPI problems in the past, but only with burning programs. I just want to use it for a cdrom and i cant get the cdrom to even respond. please help, i mount then dismount and nothing. grrrr

on what channel is it on ?
is it master or slave ?
what command do you use to mount with ?
