HELP! My KDE Won't Load!

I just installed KDE yesterday, I was trying to set up my home network. After I restarted it got to the check list where it lists all of the things it's doing followed by [ok]. It gets down to Start Logger and stops. I can type, but it won't do anything. I just want to start KDE! What do I do??

Sounds to me that it hasn't even gotten to the point of loading X/KDE. Are you sure you're not still in the boot process where modules are loaded and services started?

Try switching to a virtual console, login as root and then see what's going on. ALT-F1 (-F6)

ok, I got it fixed. I had to reinstall linux three times before it worked, but since I just installed it for the first time yesterday, nothing was lost.
