I have decided to download Slackware and give it a try. I went to the slackware website and I'm not sure where to start. Should I copy the files in the bootdisk section onto disks and load it that way? If so, what all do I take?

Slack 7.1 ISO is a bootable CD so you can go that route if your bios supports it

What he said. If your bios does not support bootable cd's, then you will need a root disk and a boot disk, and perhaps either the pcmcia disk or network disk, depending on your hardware and desired install method. The install is pretty straight forward, and there are some decent docs - particularly the README and INSTALL files.

Well, the machine is gonna be a duel boot, would it just be wiser/easier to download Bigslack from Windows onto the HD I want Linux on?
