help me im cant figure it out

i am trying to mount my floppy and i use the mount cmd mount /dev/fd0 t-msdos /mnt/floppy
but it say that my kernel doesnt support msdos i have 2.2 kernal redhat 6.1 and i havent customized my kernel its the original i cant figure it out ideas anyone?
