Can someone write down (in steps) how to get a cable connection going on Mandrake 7.2

My cable specs: HOST- cr######-a
DNS- 24.2.9.35
Subnet- 255.255.255.128
Gateway- 24.43.70.1
DHCP- 24.2.9.154
IP- ##.##.##.###

Where do I fill what in?

You should go to the networking section, and btw, rake a look at the nhfs (as the description of this section states). There's, a nmhf for setting up an @home cable access. I guess it should work for most other services, too.

There's the CABLE-MODEM-HOWTO'S, more than enough previous cable modem posts and answers here at LNO, the NHF's (as already suggested)& http://www.cablemodeminfo.com/

I'm also with Rogers in Toronto, but I do not connect direct as I have a Novell server running BorderManager as my NAT/Firewall. I also use the static address provided by Rogers and not DHCP as most use.

One suggestion that most forget.

/etc/resolv.conf

domain pr1.on.wave.home.com
nameserver 24.2.9.35
nameserver 24.2.9.36 # I would imagine the secondary DNS

NOTHING will work unless your NIC (network card) is recognized, configured and working.
