after unintentially formating my Win98 Hd...
(freudein slip?)
well, no going back. so I proceded to install Mandrake 7.0 (Don't yell at the troglodites!). Well, I got all the way through, even picked up my ****ty integrated NIC (and the peasants rejoice):
well, when It got to picking my monitor,
I picked what I had, Acer 34T:
and I click ok.
and BOOm
a black screen.
I had to force-reboot it,
It loaded up Linux, but when I typed in startx, it gave me this linux-garble (yes, i'm quite new, and quite foolish):
execv failed for /etc/X11/X (errno 2)
_X11TransSocketUNIXConnect: can't connect: errnor=11
giving up
xinit: connection refused (errno 111): unable to connnect to X Server
xinit: no such process (errno 3): server error.
I NEED HELP!!!!!!!!
i refuse to go back to windows,
helpless, and foolishly stranded in the void.
