Invalid Parameter parm_io??? Help!!!!

Ok I am trying to configure my SBLive under SuSE 7.0 but I am having every kind of luck doing it except for good. I am extremely new to Linux as this is only my 4th day using it, I have managed to get everything installed and working except for sound. I tried installing the sound card as per the installation documentation included with this distro but that did not work, I searched for other ways to install it and none of those worked (I usually ended up with the dreaded "unresolved symbols" errors) now I have soundcore loaded but I cannot get the driver to activate, everytime I try to turn sound on I get an "Invalid Parameter parm_io in loading my sound driver and it fails to start, I am at a lose as to where to go from here and any help anyone can give would be greatly appreciated. Again I am running SuSE 7.0 with Kernel build 2.2.16

Well, I don't know how you configured your soundcard, but it seems like you told linux that it was at the wrong i/o address. When you configure your card, you say what i/o address it's at and the irq (unless linux detects it itself) I have no experience with SuSE or your card, so I can't be of much more help. Sorry.
