Ok...newbie here...be gently.
Loaded up Redhat 6.2....and after a couple of Signal 7 errors...finally was able to complete installation with no problem...until the first reboot. System boots up...go through all of the checks and then when it gets to the login screen (text)...the screen goes black. If I CRTL-ALT and the F1, F2, F3, F4, f5...I can see the screen and all of the logins to those sessions....but immediately goes black. I think it may be my video card....old computer and not sure what it is....the card does say SVGA....so during the installation I set it up as generic (SVGA)....and I also set the resolution and memory to the lowest...bare bones....hell I could change it later...right. Any ideas...let me know.
