Portmap, can I kill this daemon ? (got attack on it)

Hi, I got several breaking attempt on my portmap daemon.

Can I safely kill this daemon ? (my debian linux runs a web server) ? Will it not alter any function of it ?

Probably, no - unless you're doing NFS, RPC, or other stuff.

Webserver worked fine for me. I really dont think i had any of those things working either. Give it a go, you can always just start em up again if things get broken
