I am trying to install Debian 2.1 on an old Toshiba Satellite 2115CS with no CD-ROM. I installed the base system using floppies and all was fine. I rebooted the system and entered dselect to install some packages. I had copied the Package file(s) and the files I wanted on to a ZIP disk which I mounted (/dev/sda4/zip). I set the Access method as Floppy and set the path for the Zip. No problem. I did Update using the Package file(s) on the Zip and still no problem. I went to Select and selected the files that I wanted. Again, no problem. I then try to run Install and get an error message saying that it can't find certain files. Crazy, because I can tell that it is not even looking for the files on the ZIP drive (or anywhere else for that matter). Has anybody out there tried to do a Debian install without a CD-ROM and encountered this problem with dselect? I'm pissed and frustrated. Help!!!
