o.k. you guys don't get to hear the good part of the story, but anyway i need a little help here

i'm using KDE on slack 8.0 (go figure, eh?)
anyway i got netconfig all setup nicely and can ping out, so i know i'm getting connected, but i'm getting nameserver problems, therefore cannot pull up webpages to get to useful things like this
i checked with at&t to make sure i have the right nameserver and tried another one, works fine on my windows machine
is there anything i need to know about how linux handles these thing.

Any help you guys can provide would be great
you guys RULE!!!!
thanks

Does your username or password contain anything other than letters? If it contains numbers etc. then you must use CHAP instead of PAP for your PPP settings. This happened to me recently and it might just be your problem, too. In KPPP ( if you are using it ) go into setup and change the protocol there - worked for me.

So /etc/resolv.conf is setup correctly?

domain isp_domain_name
nameserver xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx # isp dns 1
nameserver xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx # isp dns 2

Your very welcome. Sometimes I just get lucky.

Now to setup your fonts in the browser. :)
