installed rh7.1 swat won't work

I had rh 6.1 installedon a p90 32m ram 1.2g hd. The hard drive died suddenly so I replace it with a 10 g drive. I also updated to rh7.1 when I re-installed. My problem is that swat will not run. I get an error message: unable to locate server localhost.
I had no problem with 6.1. Is there a reason for this to not work?

Maybe try adding or checking that /etc/hosts has

127.0.0.1 localhost

I think that's the correct syntax. The comments will tell you.

I noticed that lmhosts and smb.cfg are now in the /etc/samba directory. Is this correct or should they be moved into /etc? Or does it matter where they are.

I would suggest you leave them as is. Whatever directory they are in is most likely where they are expected to be.

first- no. I am not having much luck -yet. I also do not nave an inetd.conf file. I'll work on that now. There seem to have been a bunch of changes to 7.1 (thing that have moved). will update with progress.

you will have an xinetd file.. this will be in its own folder.. inetd was replaced with this.

if u have any luck please chuck somthin my way. i have the same problem i just couldent be botherd to look anything up yet.
