midi wont work, help

i use mandrake 8 with a sb live and i dontknow how to get midi working, on my hardware list under sound devices, i only see the sb live and no additional devices to control midi or anything like that....does anyone have a clue?

The best way I found to do midis is with the timidity player and instruments. You might need to download the rpms for these. ;)
