I am new to linux and am just figuring out how to get everything accomplished. I have an HP 8200 inkjet, which was recognized properly in setting up linux.

Question - under windows, I was offered the option of 3 print qualities - draft, normal, and high. Yet, when I print from staroffice 6.1Beta under linux Mandrake 8.1, I get no such control over print quality. When I print under linux, it seems to just print with a draft type quality. Is there a way of changing the print quality in Linux similar to the offerings in windows?
Thanks

Oh, yes, but it's done in a different way. I have an Epson 730, which offers 360, 720, and 1440 DPI. These are actually 3 different drivers, and therefore, three "different" printers are installed. From any application, whatever it is, I can print to the chosen "printer", although it is really the same one, in any of the 3 resolutions.Your situation is likely to be the same. See what you can find for it using Google, likely a lot of people have worked with that printer.
Good Luck, Ray
