Just got Mandrake7.2 up and running, and every thing is fine apart from gnapster.

got it downloaded as the normal user, went into root, typed ./configure

This is what i got in return:

loading cache ./config.cache
checking for a BSD compatible install... /usr/bin/install -c
checking whether build environment is sane... yes
checking whether make sets ${MAKE}... no
checking for working aclocal... missing
checking for working autoconf... missing
checking for working automake... missing
checking for working autoheader... missing
checking for working makeinfo... missing
checking whether to enable maintainer-specific portions of Makefiles... no
checking for gcc... no
checking for cc... no
configure: error: no acceptable cc found in $PATH

then it dumps me back at the prompt.

i tried the make command afterwards but it just tells me that the command doesn't exist.

wtf is going on?

Mount your mandrake CD, and do a ls | grep gcc in the directory /mandrake/rpms.. you dont have a compiler to compile the stuff. Install one.
