im a complete newbie with this whole linux thing, but i'm trying to pick it up. how do i make my Logitech Wheel Mouse's scroll wheel work? i can push it and it acts as the middle button, but how do i scroll with it?

I have found that trying too many different
configurations may cause inconsistent results.

Restarting X isn't enough. As much as I hate to say it...a reboot may be required.

A reboot should not be required unless you have a USB mouse and you don't have USB support in your kernel yet.

i've restarted many times, because i cannot access the internet through linux (Winmodem) and need to switch into Win2k for that.
