im a complete newbie with this whole linux thing, but i'm trying to pick it up. how do i make my Logitech Wheel Mouse's scroll wheel work? i can push it and it acts as the middle button, but how do i scroll with it?

Read it and study it. I have found that trying too many different configurations may cause inconsistent results. Restarting X isn't enough. As much as I hate to say it...a reboot may be required.
