Hoping I can get a bit of help here, this one has me stumped.
I have RH Linux behind a cable/dsl firewall, just running as a server (no X is installed). Everything was running fine (including the WuFTP) on the IP address. Then, I got a domain name for it (massassi.org). Once I configured the DNS server to handle the domain name, WuFTP stopped allowing users to access the server! It asks for username/password, but then denies access with a 530 login incorrect error no matter what. I'm really not sure why it's doing this.
The docs said view the syslog, which I did, but I can't find anything there regarding ftp. And the XFER logs only show files that were transferred with FTP (before this issue).
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. I've tried the FAQ at the official site but I didn't see anything there.
Thanks in advance.
