how will kde 2 run on a duelbooted(win ME)

700mhz celeron
64mb sdram
20gig hd
11mb graphics card

really fast?

Sigh.. I'll always saying this, but you're going to notice more ram more than a faster processor. 64 megs is pathetic and is gunna be your limiting.. Keep in mind that you can buy generic 128 mb pc133 ram for ~$50 right now, I say drop the processor a bit and get some more ram. KDE2 would probably eat up most of 64 megs of ram..

and whoever asked me about the graphics card... its an intel direct AGP card that comes with the compaq im building

I'm running KDE 2 on a 500Mhz AMD K6-2 with 96MB RAM, 13G HD, and 8MB graphics card and it runs as fast as any other WMs or DEs out there. It should work fine on yours.

I think with 128 you won't have any problems.. I just go bezerko when I see people putting 600+ MHz processors on their box with only 64 megs ram..

I know of someone who just got a dual cpu 533 and a whopping 128mb of ram to feed it...
