No, they are actually meant to fit on about 2 or 3 CDS.

You should have downloaded the ISO files for each CD and then burnt them from those images

There were no ISO images thats the problem.

Why not install over FTP/HTTP/NFS? That's much nicer than getting the ISOs, IMHO (and they do exist, BTW - try cdimage.debian.org). And while you're installing over the Net, why not just skip straight to unstable?

I guess this is why i should explain myself. I am a person of few words which makes questions hard to answer.

I am DL at work. I am setting up a server so stable it has to be. And I only have dial up at home so its a hard situation.

Thanks guys

Actually, the ISOs for 2.2r2 aren't available yet (except I think Cheapbytes has the 6 CD set or r2 available now, three of which are the accompanying source disks.).
There are unofficial ISOs of woody, though, as well as a potato "extra" ISO that includes helix gnome and other stuff like that (which aren't part of the official potato release, r2 included).

Yes, that's what I got: Debian 2.2 from Cheapbytes. Six CDs, ten bucks plus shipping.

I also have a dialup at home; I haven't bothered attempting to download anything the size of a Linux distribution.
