In the configuration, it lists some ifno required. I'm not quite sure what they are looking for.
These are the items:
Image Partition 1
Image Mountpoint 1
Image Partition 2
Image Mountpoint 2
Image Date Path

What are they looking for here? I don't want to fill in the wrong info and cause a problem.
Thanks for your help

Did you read the documentation for xcdroast? Mine is in somewhere under /usr/doc and is in html format. The docs explain everything.

I checked the docs. No info is given related to the questions I asked.
Any help will be appreciated.

I only set up image-partition 1 and a mount point on the directory tree and set it as default. The other stuff (image partition 2 and image data path) is optional and I haven't needed it yet, so I can't comment on it.

On a previous install, I used a fat32 partition that I used for mp3 storage. Somehow, I managed to lose all my files http://www.linuxnewbie.org/ubb/mad.gif on that partition learning to use the burner.

When I added a drive, I made a separate partition of 800 mb just for cd-write use. Now, I can only ruin that one partition that I use to store some temporary stuff that I can afford to lose when I'm not burning CDs http://www.linuxnewbie.org/ubb/cool.gif

I highly recommend that approach since you can and probably will lose all the info on that partition learning to use the burner.

Sorry, I think the GUI software docs are under /opt/kde or wherever your kde is installed.

Just do a locate on xcdroast.

The docs are very good and explain everything.

I did get xcdroast to work and I did make a cd.
problem is all I got was a cd full of mp3's. How do I convert to make a standard audio cd?

I never bother with mp3's and such, so I would think you need a ripper/converter of some kind.

Have read on numerous posts here about this software that is available for Linux. You probably already have it installed somewhere as Linux seems to come with just about everything you need. If not then perhaps search at freshmeat.net.
