initially, i had a problem with Mandrake 7.3 screwing up my dual boot with windows ME. i tried for a month to find the problem, with no luck. at boot, it simply gave me 'LI' instead of LILO. i understand the normal routine for fixing this, but nothing helped fix it.
i therefore decided to upgrade to 8.0, thinking it might fix the problem.
i went through the installation program, and all i didn't configure were the network settings [i haven't put in the card yet].
anyway, the normal boot procedure takes place, until it tries to start VNC (which most probably has something to do with the network card)...it then freezes completely.
i've left it on for a day, in case something might have happened...nothing..
now i can't get back to 7.3, ME, or 8.0.
none of the mandrake boot disks work, and i don't have an ME boot disk.
please help. i'm a bit out of my league with this...
