Hi ,
Does the conexant (Rockwell SoftK56 chipset)
modem work on the 2.4.8 kernel directly without drivers ? If it doesn't are there
drivers on the internet ?

Last week i got the drivers for the 2.2.14 kernel .

I would suggest you do a bit of searching using Google etc. I would do it for you, but I don't really need the practice. ;)

You need drivers, for conexant winmodom drivers see

The driver is here, but you may need to compile it yourself, depending on the distribution you have.
