I recently installed Mandrake 7.1 to dual boot with Win98SE. Everything went smooth and my Intel Pro100/B was detected no prob.
Next, I installed rp-pppoe and got my adsl connection up. For that I'm using an Efficient Networks Speestream 5260 External Ethernet Modem connected to swbell. I connected with no problems, however I couldn't go anywhere on the net. Neither domain names or straight IP addresses connected.
While trying to get that sorted out, I jacked something up (I don't remember exactly what I changed). Now, my nic configuration doesn't work. The operating system knows my card is there, but when I run ifconfig, it can't locate the hardware.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
