I tried to do a dual boot with Win98 and redhat 6.2.
I ran FIPS and partitioned the hard drive leaving 8.5 on Win98 and 4.5 for Linux.
When I was in disk druid I tried to make a / partition. When I put the info in and closed the / partition it said boot partition is too large. I even tried to make / 1meg and it said it was still too big.
So I said screw it and tried to install just Redhat. Well everything installed, but when it closed it said too many clusters and it would not boot up. Is this because I have a 13.6g hard drive or did I screw something up.
Thanks,

I have both a 27 and 20GB hard drive. The 20GB is a tri-boot with 98, Be and `Drake. So no 13+GB is not to big.

I thought that a 13.6 would not be too big. But that was the only thing that I could think of that went wrong. I have never ran into this problem before.

It means that the /boot directory will be beyond the 1024th cyl. and therefore LILO will have problems booting it. You can get around this by making a boot disk during install, using that to boot, and then updating lilo to the latest version, which has no 1024 cyl. limit.

Don't forget to let the board know if/when it works.

Nope!...Mandrake Linux works fine on the last 15G of my 45G drive.
