Weird. Machine dual booted win98se and mandrake 7.1, now installing redhat 7.1, nuked the mandrake partition already with fdisk, but when i go to make my new linux partitions with fdisk or diskdruid in the redhat 7.1 installer, it complains that it can't make them because the boot partition is > 1024 cylinders...

I thought that 1024 cylinderthing didn't matter anymore? hrm.

I tried to let it do automatic install of the partitoins but it automatically fails and tells me to do it manually...

this is kinda strange i think...

any ideas for advice? was thinking about using partition magic to move my partitions around... is that possible?

did you add the lba32 option in your lilo config options? try passing that as you install...
