Howdy all! I have officaly been attempting to use Linux for 3 hours, So I am an Uber newbie 8) I am trying to install Turbolinux 6.0 server on and older system w/two 2gig hard drives. The manuals that I do have dont explain the process of partioning that well and I am a bit cornfused8). Firstly what partions do I need? I know root(/), Swap, and Var(/var) thou I dont know what sizes they need to be and how can I make it so that I can use both drives as one? kinda like drive stripeing? any help would be great. Thanks

Personally, I don't believe you need to cut up your harddrive for the sake of cutting it up. I would go with "/" and "swap" and leave it at that. However, I just emailed you (at your hotmail account) a thread I copied from a discussion on the bbs some time ago where this issue was discussed. There are many suggestions and different views, so the best thing to do is read through it and draw your own conclusions based on your needs and preferences.
