While not a Slackware user, guys if you want to help Slackware stay in business, then you might want to BUY a copy from them. I might even be enticed to look at a copy of Slackware 8.0 and move from Mandrake.

Slackware can use RPMs, TGZ binaries, and source, god it rocks! My luck though, I just did an install of the old Slack-current ISO and installed FreeBSD on top of that. Oh well, time to start downloading (again).

Eventually, I'll try out Debian on my desktop. But I doubt you can apt-get on a 500MB laptop, so Slack is where it's at.

My GOODNESS! They only inflated the version by one full number this time.

I was fully expecting "Slackware 12" or "Slackware 2000" or "Slackware XP," to continue the grand Slackware tradition of corporate whoremongering and false advertising.
