mounting my cdrom

i can mount my cdrom fine, but when i try to unmount it, i get an error message that says, "device busy", ive tried umount /dev/hdb , umount /mnt/cdrom, but nothing works?

It means that a program is running using that directory as its 'current directory' normally you just ned to 'cd /' to change your directory then unmount.
