NEC Versa and Linux

I have a NEC versa and REALLY want to put Linux on it. I use it for just email and word processing since it a 486 50. Anyway all it has is a floppy, and pcimia (or whatever) modem. How do I get Linux on it? There are lots with like a 5 floppy install, but what is the best one?
