Jul 22 15:50:59 RKTM kernel: eth0: Internal fault: The skbuff addresses do not match in tulip_rx: 80000000 vs. 095ef810 c95ef800 / c95ef810.

Whenever I'm playing Quake3 online this error will inevitably come up at random, and as soon as it happens my internet connection (ADSL) compleatly dies, I can't contact anything outside this box. The nic (Kingston KNE40BT, tulip module) is still working and I can kill/restart dhcpcd and get back online right away.

As far as i can tell, this is something to do with quake's 1.29f netcode. Any info on what skbuff addresses are, or what's specificly causing this would be greatly appreciated.

try upgrading your kernel www.kernel.org (http://www.kernel.org)

It appears that you may be encountering a bug in the kernel taht has something to do with dhcpd and possibly eth0

or you just have some sort of hardware mismatch thats being touched on each time ur in Quake.

Either way - a kernel upgrade will probably help you - as long as you pay close attention to what drivers your setting up for your hardware

I've had this problem with 2.2.16, 2.4.5 and 2.4.6. Like you said it's probably a problem touched on by Quake's code but I'd still like to know what that error means.

Stup, when we spoke on irc...i remeber now :P .I have had similar problem under 2.4.6 and slack 8 with tulip.o and experimental option (there was two of them for tulip driver,i use linksys nic) where my net would die too...i found this http://www.beowulf.org/listarchives/linux-tulip/1999/09/0038.html
(by Donald Becker who wrote/maintains tulip driver and others) that you might want to read and hopefully fix the problem.Hope this helps.
