I would like to know how to install the drivers for my D-Link DFE-530TX+ Fast Ethernet...I know it uses the rtl8139.o module. The kernel on Red Hat 7.0 won't detect the card and I don't know how to update the module...Could someone help me on compiling the new rtl8139.c and replacing the old module?

I just went thru this w/ that card. It took me a couple weeks, but I have net now!
1) Turn off PnP in BIOS if u havent
2) In terminal "su" to superuser and type "linuxconf"--in here click on internet or whatever the first one says and select the rtl8139 driver (Realtek RTL8139). If this works, type "ifconfig eth0" and you should see the eth0 interface. You didnt state what kind of connection, but "linuxconf" can help u with that too
3) Im a "newbie" myself, but keep trying and you will get it--Also, search in the Networking Forum for my question on the same topic---there are alot of responses in there.

Searching first is always the way to go.

Try DFE-530TX+ as you will find lots of posts on the subject.
