Programs in E!

Actually, I don't have any.

I've configured X for my monitor, graphics card, mouse, all that good stuff. I startx, get into e, but absolutely no programs are there. I could configure e all day long.

I understand that e is a desktop manager, How do I get e to use x or x to use e or what was I talking about?

If you understand what I am talking about, or you wanna kick my butt for posting in greek, please do. I need some sort of reply here.

Slackware 7.1 if that matters.

You should have some sort of menu. Clicking on the desktop doesn't get you anything? If it doesn't, try middle-clicking on the desktop (or clicking both buttons at once if you have a 2 button mouse), and then choosing "Maintenance-->Regenerate Menus". If that STILL doesn't work, you will have to tweak your E menus (which I can tell you how to do if that's what it comes to).

Funny thing about that. I have all the enlightenment toolbars. Like I said, I can configure e all day long. I have all the e menus, I can tweak it. I want to get the programs into e, or get e into x, or whatever.

Basically, I don't think x starts, but e does.


Edit: ok, i'm a complete moron. It took the menus a little while to complete the maintenance, and when they finished, I had all my stuff. Thanks much!

I'll come back w/ more problems soon. I promise.
