minor Kernel update question...

I am looking to re-compile my kernel to change the soundcore from being a module to being compiled in. Is there an easy way to keep all of the current settings in the Kernel and just change this without having to go through the entire set of menus for everything in the Kernel? Thanks! :confused:

Yes, but only if you use "make xconfig" or "make menuconfig". With xconfig just to to the Sound selection, change it, then recompile and reinstall.
