I installed Mandrake 7.1 but something went wrong when i wanted to configer x and now when i start linux i can't start x or kde.
If i'm at the commandline how can i configer x from there ? I tried linuxconf but that didn't have the option, any suggestions ?

I think Xconfigurator should do the trick. If I'm not mistaken you don't have to be in x to use it. If that doesn't work try xf86config but that one is a lot less user friendly.
