mandrake bootloader installation

i'm installing mandrake from a cd and i get the following message when installing the bootloader:

Installation of bootloader failed. The following error occured. Fatal: open/boot/boot.b No such file or directory

One thing you could do is make that dir and file and see what happens, but that probably isn't a great idea... What bootloader? If lilo, switch to GRUB. Very easy to learn and more useful IMHO.
