Hi, I've pretty much stopped using windows now except for Baldurs Gate and the sequel. I was wondering if anyone had succeded in getting them to run through wine and how they did it. And also, is it possible to use wine without a windows partition with the games installed? I don't have much HD space and I want to get rid of that nasty windows partition once and for all. I need a bigger /home

I haven't tried BG under Wine, but I can answer your second question. Most installation programs will NOT run under WINE, even if the programs they install do, so you generally need to install them under Windows and then try running them under WINE. You also almost always have to have a Windows installation in order to get the DLLs you need.
