Connecting to Linux at home

I am not able to connect to my Linux box at home from work or anywhere else. No telnet, ftp or www. I can't even ping it. But when I connect from Linux box at home to Linx box at work and then from there I can ping my home Linux box and I can even telnet into it. Don't know what is wrong. I have home network and from inside network I can always to those things. What is wrong??

maybe if you have a static ip away from home you can add it to the hosts file?

check ipchains if you have it running also
