To download the newest version of debian. I went to Debian.org. I take it I download it from one of the ftp servers they have there.

Also once I download it is there any where that has instructions with how to put what I download onto floppy since I cant boot from cd. I looked at the debian site and couldnt find any instructions on how to do this.

Thanks for any help.

Here's what I understand where you are:
You've already D/L the CD images and burned them to CD's and you have a computer not capable of booting from CD. Is this correct?

With these assumptions, go to ftp://ftp.debian.org/pub/mirrors/debian/dists/potato/main/disks-i386/2.2.23 -2001-04-15/images-1.44/ (ftp://ftp.debian.org/pub/mirrors/debian/dists/potato/main/disks-i386/2.2.23-2001-04-15/images-1.44/) and D/L rescue.bin and root.bin. You may also need to go to ftp://ftp.debian.org/pub/mirrors/debian/dists/potato/main/disks-i386/2.2.23-20 01-04-15/dosutils/ (ftp://ftp.debian.org/pub/mirrors/debian/dists/potato/main/disks-i386/2.2.23-2001-04-15/dosutils/) and D/L rawrite2.exe, so you can transfer the rescue.bin and root.bin to floppy.

OK, now, with the CD in the drive boot your computer with the rescue floppy. Exchange the rescue floppy with the root floppy when it asks. During installation, when it asks where base2_2.tgz is, tell it to use the CD-ROM. Up to this point and after this point is normal installation.
