Does anyone know what the no 387 option is? Thanks. nopun 01-04-2001, 09:14 AM Many distros have more than one kernel image that the user can install depending on their requirements - check the documentation to see how to select this. However, if you really want to customise the kernel, compiling your own is best (see NHF if you want to tackle this). 387? I have to be honest, I don't have a clue what that is. Edit: I've just read your other post. My knowledge of PC architecture is not that great - isn't 387 the generic name for a maths co-processor? You have a celeron so this kinda stuff should be all on board. I don't know how to test the cpu for correct functioning in this area, can anyone else help?
