Messed up fonts in Netscape

I just started running Linux two days ago and finally got up and running on the net. I am using Netscape. the fonts are real screwy and hard to read, I did change the fonts around in the options but it doesnt seem to change the way the web pages are displayed. Any suggestions?

Personally I've found that truetype fonts work the best so if you can get hold of a few windoze fonts then try them.
