if these setting are not to your liking you can run xf86config, which is more flexable then Xconfigurator, editing the file /etc/X11/XF86Config will give you the greatest flexablity, but it is not the easist way.

Hmm... okay, I went through xf86config and filled it all out, reset, but the resolution is still the same. It asked what the capabilities of my monitor were, but it never prompted be for what I want the settings to be tho. I vaguely remember there being another program that you could set this in, but I can't remember what it was.

any more suggestions?

does it auto detect your monitor?
thats inportant, if you put in the wron values for it, monitor=cooked snot

also, i used Xconfigurator for rh 7
then if you selected multiple settings press
control alt and eithr the + or - keys to change resolution.
also, remember to use the keys by the numbers, not the ones next to the backspace key, those dont always work.

Hey, thanks... Xconfigurator worked like a charm, and I can now ctrl-alt +/- through the settings.
