Please help me withEthernet Card

I cant get Linux Mandrake 7.0 to find my 3Com PCI card... What do I need to do?

Did you compile support for the card in the kernel?

Goon, in windows go to my computer, properties, device manager, highlight your ethernet card and click on properties and find out what IRQ it's using. Do the same for your other PCI add in cards(sound, video,etc) If the ethernet card is sharing an IRQ with another card this will be a major problem in Linux. I just went through this and solved it by moving my ethernet card to another PCI slot. I got this tip right here from someone named Lorithar and it worked great. I have DSL so then I downloaded Roaring Penguin's PPPOE software and was off and running. Good Luck
