konqueror won't display gifs

Gah, i dunno what it is but just doesnt display them. I've compiled and installed 4 times now and libgif is definately installed. Although i searched the configure script for gif and it wasnt found...

I also noticed another thing:
accept=image/x-xpm, image/gif, image/x-bmp, image/x-krl, image/x-eps, image/png, image/jpeg, image/x-pnm, image/x-xbm

notice the missing x by gif ? Anyone know how/if this can be fixed ?

Try recompile Qt and when you do ./configure put -system-jpeg -gif after you're done with qt, recompile kdelib http://www.linuxnewbie.org/ubb/biggrin.gif
Well I'm not sure that you'll have to re-compile kdelib or kdebase, I can't remember http://www.linuxnewbie.org/ubb/frown.gif
