All 3d Apps won't run

Hey, I just installed Mandrake 8.0 on my system, went smooth as can be. It automatically installed drivers for my Gefore 2 GTS. When I got to run games that are 3d, talking ones in KDE. Like spacecup, or mesa gears, they don't do anything when I lanch them...little windows shows up in taskbar for milisecond then gone. DO i need to enable OpenGl or something? INstall new Nvdia drivers?

You need to go to Nvidia's web page and install their 3d drivers. I don't think that Mandrake does that automaticly.

Once you download those, install them and you'll be good to go.

Derango is correct. LM8 only installs the generic 2D driver, not the 3D version from NVIDIA. This ought to help you out:
