I have searched the forums.

Ok, I bought a new USR 3COM ISA 56K Faxmodem. It has jumpers, and has an onboard controller. I would like to use the internet (I am using windows right now). The modem has not been touched as far as jumpers go (I think it still is in pnp mode). How do I:
A) Set the modem up to work under linux
b) Get linux to see the modem, and dial-up

I am using mandrake 7.2

So you have tried installing linux and it can't find the modem? that either means 7.2 doesn't have the drivers you need or that the modem is a winmodem

1) It sees the modem, however, it does not when I go to dialup (hardrake sees it)

2) It is not a winmodem, I already stated that

Basically I need to know if I need to take it off of PNP, and what to do after that
