Weird slackware problem

when I try downloading files from slackware mirrors gFTP downloads them as files named like "tmp479047146537501750.i" instead of bare.i and stuff....why is that?

probably a bug in the software. Try using something like the plain old ftp command.

I belive you are actually viewing the file instead of downloading it. Select the file you want then click the left arrow to transfer it to your local drive.
